The way to Gasthof Alpenrose in the Bregenzerwald |
Travel by car, comming from North
From the North, its quite easy and comfortable to travel to us by using the German autobahn A7 and A96. We recommend therefore three different possibilities for a comfortable journey. All three ways can be downloaded as GPS files. Starting point for all three possibilities is always the autobahn junction Kreuz Memmingen.

You follow the A7 down to Lindau and the Pfaender tunnel (toll road). The A7 leads over on the Austrian side into the A14. Leave the A14 at exit [14] Dornbirn Nord and follow the signs “Bregenzerwald”. This will lead you onto the Bundesstrasse 200. Follow this road until you reach the village Egg. In Egg take a right after the gas station towards Schwarzenberg. Follow the road uphill approx 800m. Then take again a right and follow the signs Gasthof Alpenrose - Kaltenbrunnen. The very small country road leads you steep uphill and you reach your goal after approx. 3,8km.

This will lead you onto the Bundesstrasse 200. Follow this road until you reach the village Egg. In Egg take a right after the gas station towards Schwarzenberg. Follow the road uphill approx 800m. Travel by car, comming from South

From the South you can easily reach us by car across the Furkajoch, Faschinajoch or the Hochtannbergpass and just follow the Bundesstrasse 200 until you reach the village Egg. In Egg just take a left in the middle of the village towards Schwarzenberg. Follow the road uphill approx 800m. Then take again a right and follow the signs Gasthof Alpenrose - Kaltenbrunnen. The very small country road leads you steep uphill and you reach your goal after approx. 3,8km.
IMPORTANT! In winter time the Flexenpass between Lech and Warth is always closed. Access to our guesthouse from the Arlberg pass is therefore not possible. Some navigation systems try always to route across the Flexenpass. This route is not possible during winter time.
