Cosiness, local kitchen with local specialities at reasonable prices and in combination with the wonderful location above Egg with the panorama view across the Bregenzerwald are the highlights of our restaurant in the Gasthof Alpenrose.
Whether after a hiking tour, motorcycle trip or a sporty exkursion in our beautiful area, our restaurant offers in any case exactly the correct menu for large and small guests and each appetite. In our kitchen we mainly use egg and milk products that are locally produced by local farmers. Any meat is guaranteed to come from animals out of our region. Mountain cheese is purchased from the local Alpe, which is operated by the sister of the landlord.

From the fork of the farmer in the stable to the fork at the table means full transparency of the quality and guarantees full taste, which you can expect in the Bregenzerwald. Of course we offer as an official member of the cheese road Bregenzerwald special cheese meals like Kaesspaetzle (cheese noodles) or Kaesknoepfle (small cheese noodles) which are well known as our specialities.
In addition we serve a local beer from the region, a Egger beer of the brewery Egg, which celebrated its 111-years anniversary, or we tap a bavarian Franziskaner white beer from the barrel. Our restaurant is split into different areas and can be combined for family celebrations or events. Thus we offer the following number of seats

- 25 in the non-smoker room “Nichtraucherstube”
- 50 in the winter garden
Best for kids, since they can run around, play in the playground behind the house, discover the local fountain or just walk 300ft down to the local farm to discover real farmers live in the stable.
Whether you just show up after a short hiking tour in the morning up from the valley, or you turn in after a long day outside in the mountains, by motorbike or mountainbike, we will serve you accordingly based on our slogan “love for sure goes through the stomach, at least with us in the Bregenzerwald”.
