 Every year in August, the outdoor trphy competition takes place in Bregenzerwald. It’s an extreme sports competition in the sections mountain biking, mountain hiking, paragliding and kayak river rafting.
After the great success of the past years, we again expect besides the participants, supporters and friends about 5,000 – 6,000 spectators from all over the world! The one who has not yet plans for that weekend, should put this event on his agenda!
Lingenau in the Bregenzerwald is starting point and end of this spectacular event – in between there are 59 Km, 2,800 altitude difference and the villages Hittisau, Egg and Andelsbuch.
The race course layout
Mountain biking: This discipline leads from Lingenau via Hittisau, across the Hochhaederich mountain and back to Lingenau. In total there are 1,400m altitude difference on that 29 km course distance.
Mountain hiking: Across the Klaratsberg mountain the trail leads up to the 14 km long route towards the Tristenkopf and then continues across the Tristenkopf mountain towards „Niedere“ to the handover station for paragliding.
Paragliding: After successful dispatch and „touch and go“ it is from the participants expected, that they hit the goal circle at the power station in Andelsbuch.
Wild water kayak: Before the participants can change over to the 7 km long rafting through the cataracts, they can expect a 2m waterfall and a 4m cliff start, which they have to perform before they reach the goal in Lingenau after slalom and an Eskimo roll under water
After the event, you will find then always on Friday / Saturday night in the start/end area the "outdoor night one + two" events with well known live bands, supported by DJ´s and special acts. There is always a frame program with bike stunt shows, the "Outlaws", the paragliding acrobatic show with the world champion Mike Kueng, bungee jumping, paragliding tandem flights, test bikes, climbing competitions and the HYPO climbing tower, as well as a frame program for kids that gives every year additional surprises and options. And for the ones who just want to chill out, there are plenty of sun beaches along the river where you can take a bath or just relax in the sun.
