If we would try to publish even just a small portion of the hiking possibilities in the Bregenzerwald and around our guesthouse Gasthof Alpenrose, this would definitely go beyond the capabilities of this internet presentation. Therefore we would like to present just some “appetizers” and samples to show the endless possibilities of walking and hiking in our beautiful region Bregenzerwald. These samples start with very easy walks of a couple of hours and go to several day hut tours into the high mountain regions. We would like to bring you in contact with our pure beautiful nature based on the slogan “always accept the borders”, which is a well ment slogan to all hikers, mountainbike riders, mushroom fans, downhill racers and berry pickers to take care of the living environment of our animals and plants in the Alps and respect the signs and borders. From the basic school house you hike along the Grebenbach creek to Oberbezau; via the Rimsgrund valley to the Marktobel creek - to Bizau Hilkat and along the Bizauer Bach creek to Reuthe (church). From there along the Muehlenbach creek back to Bezau. There is a very comfortable bus connection between Bizau and Bezau you may use. You take the bus to the Hochkrummbach Jaegeralpe (hunter alp). From there the hiking trail leads via Tschirggen, Hirschgehrenalpe, Koblatalpe, Mindelheimer hut. From there back via the famous Haldenwangeralpe, the Schrofenpass and Gehren to Warth. Accomodations and guesthouses: Mindelheimer hut. Tour highlights: Schrofenpass as the most South point of Germany.

High mountain hut hiking trails with guide are offered as a one night or two night overnight tour and are planned already at the beginning of the year at fixed dates. More details regarding this type of hiking tours can be found at the website of Alfons Silgener. It is recommended to sign in for those tours not later than 4 days in advance of the planned trail. The tours will be done if there are a minimum of 5 signed in participants for the appropriate tour date.
