Recreation and leisure activities have the highest priority in our Gasthof Alpenrose and therefore we recommend some additional classic activities in our countryside such as hiking, motorbike touring, paragliding and have added some selections we have made for you, when you stay with us. These recommendations are made based on the feedback of many of our guests and show only a very small range of all the choices you have in Bregenzerwald.

The Canyoning Team Vorarlberg offers fun and adventure during Canadian Rafting tours, mountainbiking, cave tours, outdoor events and team trainings. Whether on the Bregenzer Ach river as part of a neophyte tour or with an “advanced team”, the Mountainbike Challenge Day with special training for driving techniques, in the snail cave inside the earth or with custom-made company fun events, Manfred Fink and his team are a guarantee for full success

The adventure park in Schroecken is the vacation and leisure pleasure for everyone and opened from May to October. Josef Staggl and his team offer endless fun in the wild nature in 14 climbing parks and a 140m/460ft. Flying Fox course. Additional options are mountain hiking tours, high mountain climbing tours, climbing, canyoning, as well as children and youth fitness programs.

The Waelderbaehnle train conveys a unique experience in the rhythm of the old time. Today still maintained by an enthusiastic group of people, the Waelderbaehnle train is operational between the months of May and October at all Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. It runs from Bezau to the train station Schwarzenberg and back. Service on route with beverages is available in a special waggon called Buffetwagen “Waldschaenke”, which means translated “Forest Inn”. The operators of the train offer special arrangements in combination with the summer bob sledge in Bizau. Just contact our staff in our Gasthof Alpenrose for more details.

The eagle center and falconry at the Pfaender mountain offers a unique flight show to the guests, connects the tourist to the real wild Alps world with the help of an alpine wild park and allow to gain the first expereinces in the Alps. With the Pfaender mountain cable car (is not included in the Bregenzerwald Card) you gain easy access to that resort which offers an outstanding program for all ages and will leave a long lasting unique experience. In a 40min. show you will sees flying grab birds in the upwind with a wonderful view across the Lake of Constance. The falconer describes during the show the behavior and the life habits of this animal species.
